Assignment/Essay 4:
Study four sources: Why did the Bolsheviks win the Civil War?
Due: Thurs 19th December
Consider:
You are comparing 4 sources and using your own knowledge. NOT a normal essay!
- The strength of the Bolsheviks in the war? (forces? Creation of Red Army)
- War Communism (explain why it may have been significant?)
- Weaknesses of the White Movement
Remember:
This essay is different from the rest - you must critique/analyse the sources. Analyse their reliability and formulate/create your own opinion.
DON'T tell me what happened (narration) - ANALYSE the sources to answer the question
Do give your opinion/view in the FIRST SENTENCE.
DO use evidence (given to you in the sources lesson)
DO reference using the Harvard System
